Homeowner Review. Homeowner review. Pump Jacks. Go to the OSHA web site and see their briefing on what to do and not to do. Pumps you up but doesn't let you down. I have a heck of a time getting the lowering mechanism to work properly. A little scary. These seem fine if your work only takes you up 5 to 10 feet. Pump jack. I bought these to use as scaffolding when replacing the siding on my house and have been pleased. They got the job done on a two story house! They work! Homeowner Scaffolding. I am completely satisfied with this unit. These things are a real pain to use. I bought a pair of these pump jack at Menards, a midwestern version of a discounted Home Depot. Useful for homeowner, but follow OSHA rules. As a homeowner I own several of these pump jacks, along with the guard rails, several braces (to be used every ten vertical feet, per OSHA), the spiked foot pole anchors, roof anchors, etc. Qual-craft 2200 pump jack hangs up. I too have had problems lowering these pump jacks.
Barely safe for amatuers useless for profesional. I bought 4 set of these jacks [8 jack, pole anchors, gaurd rails and braces] for my construction company. They barely work. Jacks were painted after assembly - which led to the parts jaming. Solution to scaffolding issue for home owner. My wife and I just purchased a 1925 craftsman style bungalow in old Vancouver, WA that is badly in need of paint. Pump Jack Scaffold. This pump jack scaffold is a great low cost way to have scaffolding available for even longer term projects without buying or paying rent to a rental company and ending up with nothing. Not Bad. Having never used or purchased a pump jack system before I bought the system in pieces. Pump Jacks work Great - If you know how to use them. I purchased a set of these months ago and have used them extensively with excellent results.
